Gavin was killed by a hit and run driver on a zebra crossing
Gavin was a terrific lad and an amazing character, a real comic who lived life to the full.Gavin
Brown, 22, of Cottingley, who was studying criminology at Solent University in Southampton, was due
to compete in the World Cup High Diving Contest this summer.
Mr Brown, a former member of the Bradford Esprit diving club, had competed in the European Junior
Diving Championships on several occasions winning a bronze medal in 1999.
He was part of the Solent University Talented Athlete Network Development.
Lindsey Fraser, director of coaching at the Southampton Diving Academy, said he was "irreplaceable

Also a good lad and very fun and professional collegue to work with, but most of all we were friends..: you trusted me so much and begin asking for advice on so many different subjects..you were truly listening to my words because i've been experienced many similar circustances like you when i was your age.., so that i was motivating you, life-coaching you as you asked me to do because you were preparing for the Olimpics in London! it was the beginnig of a long friendship! Instead it lasted only 2 years but
your memory will stay with me forever.. rest in peace BRAVE DIVER !!!
I saw this stroy tonight in the yep, this is tragic what a waste of such a young and promising life.
I really do hope and pray the this evil sicko is brought to justice for what he has done, but sadly the perverse driving laws in this country don't ever repay the loss of a precious life.
